Italy Removals UK → Italy

Services

Everything on one corridor, and nothing off it

Six services, all of them pointed at the same journey. There is no local removals arm and no second destination country — this firm does one route and does it properly.

Full load removals

A dedicated vehicle, yours alone.

Loaded at your UK address and driven to your Italian one without a stop for anybody else. The most control you can have over the dates, and the right answer for a whole household.

Part load removals

A share of a vehicle already going your way.

Your things travel with other Italy-bound consignments on the same route. The journey cost is shared, so it costs considerably less. The trade is date flexibility — the vehicle leaves when the route is full.

Door to door

Not port to port.

Collection from the UK property and delivery into the Italian one, including positioning furniture and reassembling what we dismantled. Where the last leg needs a barge or a small van, we arrange it.

Export packing

A different standard from a domestic move.

Furniture blanketed and corner-protected, glass and pictures in purpose-made cases, everything wrapped for distance rather than for an afternoon, and every item numbered against the inventory as it goes on.

Customs and ToR relief

Prepared, lodged and chased.

The declaration built from the survey inventory, plus a clear list of which personal documents are yours to obtain and what each one looks like.

Storage, both ends

For the gap between two dates.

Containerised storage in the UK while an Italian completion catches up, and storage at the Italian end where a property is not finished. Inventoried in, loaded so the things you want first are reachable.

Why export packing is not ordinary packing

A domestic move asks packing to survive an afternoon and two lifts. An international road move asks it to survive the Channel, the length of France, an Alpine crossing and several days of vibration, and then to be understood by a customs officer who has never met you.

So the materials are heavier, the wrapping is more thorough, and — the part people do not expect — everything is numbered. That numbering is not administrative fussiness. It is what turns a vehicle full of boxes into a document that says what is inside them.

You can pack yourself, and plenty of people pack their own books and clothes. What we would gently discourage is packing your own glass, pictures and anything valuable for a journey this long, and we would strongly discourage anyone writing the inventory who has not done one for customs before.

Storage on a corridor where dates rarely line up

Italian conveyancing runs to its own timetable and it is common — not unusual, common — for a UK sale to complete weeks before the Italian purchase does. Containerised storage in the UK is the standard answer, and the load travels when the Italian date is firm rather than hoped for.

The reverse happens too: a property bought and still being restored, with no floor in the room the furniture is meant to go in. Storage at either end covers that, and it is far cheaper than delivering twice.

Tell us at survey roughly how long and whether anything needs to come out before the rest. It changes how the container is packed and it is nearly impossible to fix afterwards.

What we do not do

We do not ship by sea. Some firms containerise UK to Italy moves through a port; we drive, because a road move means two handling points instead of six. If a sea shipment genuinely suits your job better, we will tell you so rather than talk you into ours.

We do not move cars. Vehicles have their own import and registration process in Italy and need a dedicated transporter. We will point you towards people who do it properly.

We do not do gas disconnections or plumbing. Those need the right registered trades at the UK end, arranged before we arrive.

And we do not move to anywhere except Italy. That is the whole point of the firm.

The process end to end is on moving to Italy, the journey itself on the route, and the paperwork on customs.

Not sure which kind of load you need?

Describe what is moving and how fixed your dates are. That is usually enough for us to tell you whether a dedicated vehicle or a part load is the sensible answer.
